You all know in partnership with Khaitan & Co, our YWTC CHARITABLE TRUST brought out Handbook on Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2021.
With the intention of bringing the contents of this handbook within the reach of needy people, we are planning for a series of live interactive sessions with the authoring team from Khaitan & Co on various topics covered in this book.
Fundamental Human Rights and Legal Capacity
The Constitution of India guarantees certain human rights, including the right to live with dignity. Several laws in India add colour to this fundamental right and facilitate the protection and ensure the prosperity of the members of its society.
In this session, we will cover the basic rights available to persons with disability in India, and elaborate on the recourses available to such persons under the Indian law for breach of their rights.
